Contraindications
Conditions that cannot participate:
Pregnant or Breastfeeding - HIV/AIDS - Cancer - Undergoing chemotherapy or immunotherapy - Immunodeficiency - Lupus - Uncontrolled High Blood Pressure or Diabetes - Prednisone or other steroid medications for inflammation - Heart problems/disease - Kidney or Liver problems/disease - Hemorrhagic disease - Numb or insensitive to heat - Rosacea - Active implanted device such as pacemaker or defibrillator
Conditions that require a doctor's letter:
Epilepsy - Transplant Anti-Rejection Drugs - Thyroid Disease - Heart Disease - High Blood Pressure Controlled - Cancer (after 12 months)
Conditions that require a waiting period:
If you are on antibiotics complete course before scheduling
6 Months - Surgery and Scars
3 Months - Botox
2 Weeks - Depilatory creams - IPL or Laser treatments - Dermal Fillers
Areas that will be avoided:
Open lesions - Areas with Skin diseases - Infected areas - Inflammation area - Varicose veins - Mental implants/screws - Metal contraceptive coil
Other things to keep in mind:
Sun must be avoided the entire duration of the treated area(s)
Chronic inflammation - anti-inflammatory medications can reduce the effectiveness of RF treatments - consult with your physician first.
Pre and post care
Avoid doing anything that will irritate your skin immediately prior to your appointment: sunbathing - abrasive cleansers and exfoliators - dermaplaning etc.
After treatment avoid irritating your skin as mentioned above for at least 3 days after treatment. Be sure to keep your skin moisturized and use sunscreen.

Rare side effects
It is rare to have side effects from this treatment, however you may notice some inflammation, soreness, or redness in the treatment area(s). This should subside in 12-72 hours. If these symptoms do not clear up within this time frame, then we recommend that you contact your physician.
