Responsibilities
- Provide customized massage sessions using modalities within your scope of practice (e.g., Swedish, deep tissue, prenatal, myofascial, etc.).
- Conduct thorough client assessments to understand individual health histories, symptoms, and goals.
- Apply knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and personalized plans that promote pain management and recovery.
- Educate clients on self-care practices and strategies to maintain long-term wellness.
- Maintain detailed records of treatments provided, client progress, and session notes in compliance with health regulations.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and relaxing environment by adhering to sanitation standards and safety protocols.
- Provide excellent client service by listening attentively, answering questions clearly, and fostering a positive client experience.
- Create a grounded, emotionally safe session environment through clear communication and professional boundaries.
- Professional Growth and Cultivation - Attend at least one professional networking a week and collaborated social media posts twice a week.
- Attend and work scheduled marketing events to promote the services at the spa.
Requirements
- Active Missouri LMT license in good standing and professional insurance.
- At least 1 year of experience preferred but not required for the right candidate.
- Proven experience in client service with strong skills in client assessment and customized treatment planning.
- Expertise in therapeutic, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and pain management techniques.
- Solid understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Knowledge of occupational health principles to support client recovery and well-being.
- Reliability, punctuality, and respect for shared space and scheduling systems.
